The Experts Speak Out
YOU DON'T NEED ME TO tell you that buying a used car can be a stressful experience. I have been in the market for the last month, and I work for an Automotive Group. But there's one way to alleviate some of the fear that you'll drive off in a dud: After talking with three of Southern West Virginia's Automotive Experts....I did find out that you have many more options than most dealers tell you.
I had the chance to speak with Jimbo Cundiff, local Remarketing Sales Director and used car guru. Jimbo mentioned that you could opt for a certified preowned vehicle. All certified vehicles are inspected by a manufacturer-trained mechanic and come with extended warranties that are backed by the manufacturer and/or dealership program. Many programs even throw in extra services that once were offered only with new vehicles. Bill Cole Preowned Super Center, and their Select Preowned Program, provides FREE roadside assistance with every purchase, along NitroFill. Not all programs are failsafe, however. While some warranties extend for several years, others last just a few months. And there's always the chance some unauthorized Neighborhood West Virginia dealer will try to pass off any old car as an officially certified vehicle.
I also had the pleasure to speak with Charlie Bonds, local preowned Sales professional and got a different generation view point, Charlie mentioned once you have chosen the make of vehicle you want to buy, you can begin shopping. Many dealerships will have Web sites listing their inventories and the select preowned cars that they have for sale. For more information about these cars, you can e-mail the Internet manager or call the dealership to verify basic details about the car. Charlie did want me to mention to my readers, He has Some Great Deals!!, lol. Once you are on the lot, find out exactly what has been inspected on the vehicle you are considering. Ask to see the actual inspection report for that specific vehicle. Make sure the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the inspection report matches the vehicle you want to buy.
Now my talk with Todd Moss went a long way, Mr. Mosss had more than just advise for me and my readers, He Wanted To Sell Me A Car! I took all he stated into close consideration.......he stated, For starters, determine your personal definition of the vehicle's value. Then use today's abundant resources to find the best deal that matches your desires. Finally, be flexible, because opportunities in this business can knock several times a day. Know what questions to ask when you start shopping for that vehicle.Todd mentioned that consumers now have access to a great deal more inventory and information than ever before. The pricing information and intense competition online make it easier for shoppers to find and recognize great deals!
There you have it, from The Best Of The Best in Southern West Virginia. I listened closely and have shared the important stuff with you guys & gals.........November is my month, look forward to seeing my New Car...I mean my new used car, real soon....talk to you guys later!!!!!!!!!!!!
